"Gaffney has spent the years since making tons of interesting music away from the Sebadoh spotlight. Much of it can be heard and bought via three Bandcamp sites that Gaffney runs, all of which teem with sounds made in many different locales and time periods. It can be tough to sort out exactly what’s from where and when, but it doesn’t really matter—just dive in anywhere and you’ll find something worth listening to." "Gaffney has made fascinating music for decades, and it deserves to be heard by as many ears as possible."
    ~ Marc Masters, Pitchfork

"Eric Gaffney should be a household name for anybody interested in home recording. He was DIY before it was even a thing and he’s still doing it way better than most." Tracks like “90 Million BC” play out like sci-fi radio dramas complete with homemade sound effects and detailed allegories from another time." "America’s Drug jumps from folk to garage rock to operatic radio drama (sometimes in just one song). It’s difficult to put a label on it, but at the end of the day, Eric is a pretty brilliant story teller." "These 20 songs are vivid vignettes that come from a man with an imagination that seems to always be running wild. As usual, Eric performs them with a conviction and sincerity rarely seen in popular music." ~ Dan Jarvis, Midwest Action

"That album has such a unique dark, gritty, yet un-harsh tonal quality to it. Some of the most tasteful low-fi production I've heard. It's also pretty cool that you've revisited some of your old songs and journal entries from 20-30 years ago and worked them into new song ideas. Great Stuff"
    ~ Erik Sowa

"The warmth I feel is pretty odd, right? At all times throughout America’s Drug though, I’m imbued with a calming, cocoon effect, embryonic, like a basement should be, regardless of season. Even on a cold western Massachusetts afternoon." ~ Erick Mertz, Bearded

>Recorded on Tascam Porta Two 4-track cassette recorder (pre 1994 model) November 2009 to April, 2010. Mixed to Harmon Kardon cassette deck, then to Sony CD Recorder, then assembled on Compaq computer on Itunes w.out internet connection (meaning i had to reshuffle the playing order until it falls into place, which is quite tricky)
